NORWOOD, Mass.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Analog Devices, Inc. (ADI) today announced new releases of two popular RF design tools.

The ADIsimRF™ design tool is the software accompaniment to ADI’s complete portfolio of RF-to-digital functional blocks, allowing engineers to model RF signal chains using devices from across ADI’s RF IC portfolio. The ADIsimRF Rev. 1.

5 enhancements include more visibility into signal levels within the signal chain, the ability to set RMS and peak-power warning thresholds, and calculators for measuring inter-stage power loss. ADIsimPLL™ Version 3.

4 development software has been upgraded to support new products in ADI’s industry-leading PLL portfolio, the ADF4351 PLL for base station and general-purpose applications and the ADRF6850 integrated broadband receiver for satellite applications. The new versions of these design tools are available from ADI’s web site free of charge.

The ADIsimRF design tool provides calculations for the most important parameters within an RF signal chain, including cascaded gain, noise figure, IP3, P1dB, and total power consumption.

Небольшая, но полезная программа, позволяющая представить дизайн радиотракта по ключевым характеристикам каскадов передатчика или приемника.

Компания Analog Devices выпускает широкую линейку разнообразных ВЧ-продуктов, причем большинство компонентов микроэлектронных цепей, осуществляющих преобразование сигналов, сопровождаются фирменными пакетами проектирования, оценочными платами и прочими ресурсами, упрощающими разработку новых устройств. Одним из таких дополнительных инструментов является приложение ADIsimRF, которое позволяет смоделировать прохождение сигналов по высокочастотным цепям, самостоятельно рассчитать некоторые данные как передающих, так и приемных трактов, а также подобрать соответствующие микросхемы Analog Devices.

Благодаря калькулятору ADIsimRF можно легко определить целый ряд основных параметров ВЧ-сигнальной цепочки, в частности, полную мощность, потребляемую каскадными соединениями компонентов, коэффициент шума, чувствительность приемника на входе, интермодуляционные составляющие на выходе (IP3), точку децибельной компрессии (P1dB), отношение сигнал/шум (SNR), коэффициент усиления. Исследования нелинейного поведения отдельных компонентов и сопоставления показателей с аналогичными результатами при общем каскадном соединении дает возможность подобрать состав системы с необходимым динамическим диапазоном.

Библиотеки рассматриваемого пакета содержат большинство высокочастотных интегральных микросхем и преобразователей данных от Analog Devices. В ADIsimRF имеется и продукция сторонних поставщиков (это касается в основном ВЧ-трансформаторов типа BALUN и SAW-фильтров).

Все компоненты выбираются с помощью выпадающих меню. Для получения справочной информации предусмотрены таблицы со всеми поддерживаемыми программой устройствами, которые разделены по категориям: ADC, Amplifier, DGA, Dual DAC, IQ Demodulator, Mixer, VGA, Balun и т.д.

Кроме того можно создавать свои собственные устройства и сохранять их в базе данных.

Максимальное количество каскадов данного пакета достигает 15 штук, причем дополнительные ступени могут вставляться в любое место цепи, обрабатывающей сигнал. Кроме этого отдельные ступени могут быть удалены или временно отключены. Программное обеспечение позволяет переключаться между режимами передатчика и приемника.

Программа ADIsimRF содержит большое количество справочной информации, оформленной в виде таблиц (стандартные значения резисторов, индуктивностей и емкостей, физические константы, переводы единиц измерения и т.д.), а также вкладку помощи с основными моментами, касающимися работы с пакетом. ADIsimRF поддерживает вывод результатов на печать, загрузку данных из файла или сохранение в файл в числовом формате *sgc.
